Our universe contains three kinds of information: analog, digital, and
quantum. In this talk, I'll discuss in plain language what quantum
information is and why you would want to build a quantum computer. I'll
also review some of the more spectacular possibilities quantum information
offers, such as teleportation, uncrackable cryptography, and superfast
algorithms.
