  Daniel Kolodrubetz For holding creative, engaging, and well-received house cup events.
  Dongying Shen For doing an amazing job as CoSI chair, organizing a series of extremely smooth and very well-attended lectures, as well as attracting speakers of the highest calibre that SP has unsuccessfully been trying to recruit for a long time.
  Yingqi Zhang Held many creative hall events that encouraged resident participation during the fall.
  Yufei Zhao For doing an amazing job as CoSI chair, helping to organize a series of extremely smooth and very well-attended lectures, as well as revitalizing and improving the CoSI discussion series into a regular, well-attended event, discussing timely and intellectually subjects.

  Jean-Philippe Coutu For being a dedicated volunteer/officer since first arriving at SP, for stepping up to fill in for other offices (SP-MORE and Orientation plants sale), and for starting several new initiatives (composting program, environmental dinner discussions)
  Tarun Jain For being very active in both his front-stage and back-stage responsibilities (organizing 3 trips during orientation and working with the LIST center to get new art for SP), and thinking of new ways to engage residents artistically (collective-conscious painting event)
  Mark Lipson For diligently managing SP's financial records and making sure officers get reimbursed on time
  Timothy Palmer For providing help and AV support at SP events this summer (2011) beyond his tenure

  SPRING 2011
  Name Citation
  Pamela DeAmicis Pam has showed a great energy and attitude fulfilling all the duties under her office. She started with writing a guidebook to help the SPICE group leaders with their tasks finding and moderating topics as well as finding restaurant. Also, she managed to recruit a record SP resident to participate in the SPICE program creating 13 SPICE groups. She follows up, guide, get and give feedback to and from the SPICE group leaders and participant. She is very responsive addressing issues and appreciating all the work done by the leaders. Outside her office, Pam participated in most of the SP events and is a great volunteer.
  Burcu Erkmen B has done a wonderful job building community on the 1st floor. She has organized many successful events, including collaborations with other halls, and has been an active volunteer at numerous SP events. She also actively leads the 1st floor in the House Cup.
  Denis Loginov Denis has done a fantastic job as CoSI chair this Spring. He has successfully run 3 well attended lectures. In addition, Denis is a fantastic community member volunteering at many SP events.
  Armen Mkrtchyan Armen has done a great job maintaining the SP gym. He kept all the machines in great shape following on repairs and maintenance schedules. He added useful (muscle training) posters to the gym and made sure the gym users respect the noise policy spreading posters urging people to do so. Armen kept on updating the gym with new equipments as he saw needed or as proposed by residents. He initiated the athletic afternoons and weekends to have a group of residents enjoy the SP backyard and a sport game. He has done a great job hosting the world cup events in SP and currently working on a pilot session of Yoga. Armen worked very enthusiastically with a group of MIT/Harvard student researching how used the MIT gym are. Also, he has been a volunteer in many of the SP and orientation events.
  Katie Quinn Katie impressed many people with a very successful and well-attended Cultural festival few weeks after she took office. She managed to have up to 18 countries represented with different aspects of their cultures as well as cuisines. She has conducted few cultural outings to Boston/Cambridge and always prepared very nice cultural coffee hours. She strived to have as much of the culture revealed as possible. Katie has played a key role in getting her cultural coffee hours as well as the 2011 cultural festival funded with always writing reports and excellent budget proposals.
  Stephen Voinea Steve joined the SP leadership only few days after moving to SP. He has always been a great team player working with his coffee hour chair and the dedicated group of volunteers who always come to help preparing for coffee hours. He has done a great job building nice relationship with all his volunteers. Steve also volunteers and helps with other SP events. Steve has shown leadership and ownership of his coffee hours always making sure everything get well prepared and on time. He has encouraged and worked very well with cultural groups coming to SP to host cultural coffee hours.
  Hussam Zebian Hussam did his best planning and executing orientation events. He volunteered to write reports describing the ups and downs during orientation to document lesson learned during the 2010 orientation. He also highlighted what to avoid and what to repeat in coming years. He has always showed great enthusiasm for other SP events and volunteered in some of them. He has been a key factor, along with a dedicated group of volunteers, in making a (last minute) Lebanese coffee hour take place successfully.

  James Abshire For excellent work in the role of Controller. The extra work that Jim has put in throughout reimbursement system changeovers has helped to assure that all officers receive timely reimbursements.
  Cosmin Deaconu For outstanding work as the Web Chair, including setting up the Amendment voting system, setting up the bug tracker, and being responsive to the many requests to update parts of the website.
  Ece Gulsen Ece has been doing a great job leading the Environmental Committee. She has spearheaded many new initiatives, such as Terracycle, and is always looking for new opportunities to improve the environmental friendliness of the S-P.
  Birendra Jha Birendra has shown great energy and enthusiasm working on brunches, recruiting and motivating a great group of helpers and volunteers. He was a great leader during orientation helping in its big events. he was successful working on and presenting an exceptional orientation brunch. Also, He was very good working with the Ashdown brunch chair scheduling brunches and writing progress reports.
  Holly Johnsen Holly is an incredibly dedicated hall councilor who is committed to the residents of 2-South. She goes above and beyond the role of a hall councilor and is a superb member of the SP community.
  Jacob McKenzie For a great job managing a superbly successful bike auction, as well as keeping up other duties including maintaining ever increasing ZipBike fleet and running resident education bike maintenance sessions.
  Michael Peng Michael proved to be a very active coffee hour chair and a very good team member working closely with many ResLife officers and hall councilors. His friendly character has attracted many volunteers,leaders and SP and non-SP students to his coffee hours.
  Derek Smith Derek removed the old lobby aquarium and has done a lot of work to get the new one up and running. He has continued to do a superb job of maintaining and improving SP's aquarium throughout the year.
  Brian Spatocco Brian has done a phenomenal job fostering community in 3-North, initiating creative and highly successful events, spreading his enthusiasm in the SP community, and connecting SP with the GSC.
  Ramesh Sridharan Ramesh has consistently been doing a great job developing the 2-North community. He has provided dedicated service as a hall councilor for almost 2 years, and has been an active volunteer at many SP events.

  Dina El-Zanfaly For being extremely responsive and enthusiastic to requests for publicity and handling all postering over the summer while Matthieu was abroad.
  Ahmed Helal For dedicated service as 4-North Hall Councilor. Ahmed has shown dedication to his hall by holding great (and often inter-hall) events, and has actively volunteered at many SP-wide events as well.
  George Lan For outstanding service as 3-South Hall Councilor, including numerous successful events, volunteering at other SP events, and High Five Friday.
  Jeffrey Mo Jeff has been very enthusiastic planning and executing every social event since he took office. He is very energetic doing at least 2 social events each month. He has left his prints on the social life and events in SP by coming up with new event idea. It is always impressive how well and smoothly the events happen because his very well planning and following up on every detail. Also, he has been a great help writing funding proposals to LEF and GSC as well as reports summarizing the events after they happen.
  Timothy Palmer For doing a great job providing A/V support to SP events and handling the SP satellite service reinitiation.
  Jagdish Ramakrishnan For outstanding job as inventory chair in maintaining SP front desk checkout items, aiding in regalia rental and responding to new resident inventory requests.

  James Shing Hin Lee For effectively and efficiently designing posters for most all events during the summer, even while away from campus, and most of all for creating and executing an extremely successful orientation publicity campaign based on the "hello my name is" beavers, all of which were crucial to the success of summer and orientation events.
  Jonathan Lindsey For meticulous planning and organization of SP orientation, particularly the Rock & Roast BBQ; for effective logistical command during the event into managing the volunteers to accommodate the larger than expected crowd.
  Christophe Mandy For installing and reconfiguring several new and old computers, efficient and accurate maintenance of the IT resources, prompt attendance to any computer issues, thereby effectively enhancing the IT resources at SP.
  Benjamin Renkoski For the planning and organization of the Summer Pool Party, a great hit which required significant early preparation, especially for the trial run and prep of the pool; also, for the selection and execution of the successful summer movie screenings.
  Lynne Waldman For thorough command of the SP orientation schedule and budget, particularly the Return to Lythion dance party; for effective implementation of a (previously not attempted) outdoor VJ dance party.

  HyoJin Chiang For enthusiastic and outstanding service as the 4-North Hall Councilor in fostering an increased sense of community; in particular, for creating a spirit of home with many events that featured "home-cooked" foods and thoughtfulness, including brunches, dinners, and Korean drama nights with delicious desserts. In addition, Rosaria's support of other SP committees and dorm-wide events is very appreciated.
  Nan Gu For committed and outstanding service as the 5-North Hall Councilor in fostering an increased sense of community; In addition to his role as a hall councilor, Nan played a less visible role in thoroughly investigating important dorm-wide issues such as front desk security as well as late night food options for residents, currently works in progress. His persistence and thoroughness is matched only by his appreciation for Sidney Pacific community.
  Wenhao Liu For dedicated service to the web infrastructure, consistently providing a rapid response whenever website problems arose. Also for rewriting the hall councilor application forms, implementing an elaborate key checkout interface to improve security, AJAXifying several web forms, and countless other creative ideas and improvements.
  Tara Sainath For enthusiastic service and dedication to Sidney-Pacific for two years as Chair of the Athletics Committee. Tara has organized a number of successful outings to local sports games as well as been involved in organizing dorm-wide ski trips. During the winter and spring of 2007, Tara organized an S-P getfit community, motivating residents to get involved in the national getfit competition.
  Lynne Salameh For excellent work creating several new poster designs, and for orchestrating a highly successful officer recruitment campaign, the turnout for which greatly exceeded all predictions.

  Mark Baldesarra For revolutionizing SPTV content, adding new features such as Highlight Videos, Public Service Announcements, Behind the Scenes, Explore Boston, and for designing the new SPTV 2.0 look. Also for pioneering two new and very successful SPTV Gameshow events.
  Mihir Mehta For being a major organizer of the successful Casino Royal MIT/Harvard Dance Party, for helping with a number of other social events, and for contributing toward outgoing, positive officer rapport.
  Michelle Sander For organizing several well-attended outing trips and also for taking an active role in planning and running several cultural coffee hours.
  Joseph Thomer For diligent and outstanding service as the 2-South Hall Councilor in fostering an increased sense of community; in particular, for planning out a social events schedule for the entire semester early in the Fall, which continued the tradition of "Dinner Club" as well as began new ones with ice cream socials and breakfasts in the common kitchen. In addition, Joe's support of other SP committees and dorm-wide events is very appreciated.
  Chia-Hung Wu For creative and outstanding service as the 7th Floor Hall Councilor in fostering an increased sense of community, often through thoughtful and original ideas; in particular, for planning community programs such as the "Know where your neighbors are from" map and floor birthday notices as well as implementing new initiatives and activites such as the common kitchen reservation whiteboard and jigsaw puzzle entertainment+snacks during finals time. In addition, Chia's support of other SP committees and dorm-wide events is very appreciated.

  Matthew Abel For getting our existing equipment working better than ever and expanding the A/V options available to residents. This included overseeing the installation and setting up the new plasma TVs and planning out the projection and sound systems for the new outdoor movie setup among other things. In addition, for providing support at nearly every event throughout the summer despite being the only member of the A/V committee during this period.
  Jesse Edgerton For his exemplary work in planning and executing an exceptional orientation.
  Wendy Iskenderian For single-handedly spearheading summer publicity by quickly, effectively, and reliably designing and deploying posters, taking charge of the SPinfoCD, making effective use of the large poster printer, and helping out at events, all of which constituted a crucial contribution to the success of our summer and orientation events.
  Natalija Jovanovic For coordinating with adminsitrators and undergrads to turn what was looking to be a disaster for the Northwest shuttle into a schedule expansion. Thanks to Natalija, instead of having no service in the afternoon, we now have double the service in the morning AND service in the afternoon. Also for being active in the committees of the HCA and HSG currently investigating couples and co-ed Housing, an important issue to many members of the S-P community.
