Equipment and Inventory Policy

Since the Sidney-Pacific inventory is supported and maintained by house tax, the Sidney-Pacific Executive Council has the following policy concerning audio/visual, kitchen, and music equipment.

Graduate dormitories may borrow large inventory items upon receipt of the Sidney-Pacific inventory sharing contract wherein, the dormitory accepts responsibility for loss or damage to the inventory item beyond normal wear and tear. The event for which the item is borrowed must be open to all SP residents.

Other student groups and individuals may not borrow our audio/visual, kitchen, or music equipment for non-SP events because of our inability to enforce them to assume responsibility for loss or damage. This policy applies to events that are held in SP.

Sidney-Pacific residents may borrow low-cost inventory items for Sidney-Pacific events. These events include SPontaneous events, igroup events, SPICE, and any other officer-organized events. These events must be properly publicized to the dorm per the SP guidelines. The organizing resident must accept responsibility for the item(s) borrowed and contact the corresponding SPEC for access to the low-cost equipment. Low-cost equipment includes small kitchen items and some items in the Multi-Purpose Support Room.
