Sonho Meu, Traditional Brazilian Music
Led by Diane Amelia Read, Sonho Meu performs traditional Brazilian music in a wide variety of styles including samba, ijexá, bossa nova, forro, and baião. The repertoire includes familiar bossa nova classics like "Falsa Bahiana", traditional sambas made famous by Beth Carvalho, Martinho da Vila, and Clara Nunes, and lesser-known northeastern compositions such as "Ijexá (Filhos de Gandhi)" and "Feira de Mangaio_.
