Cabinet Application Form

Housing 700 students, Sidney-Pacific is MIT's largest and newest graduate dormitory. Building a brand new community in this venue poses many challenges. The Sidney-Pacific Executive Council is looking for a group of students to help continue our beginning as cabinet officers.

Applicants should be motivated, committed, and eager to work both individually and in teams to help facilitate the residential program.

  • Anyone eligible to live in single graduate housing next year may apply (includes graduate students, members of Kappa Alpha Theta who will be living in S-P next year, and prospective senior segues).
  • Selected candidates will be invited to interview with the Sidney-Pacific Executive Council.
  • Application deadline: 11:59 PM, Tue, Apr. 11th
  • Interviews will be held mid to late April
  • Selected candidates will be announced May 1st and will be expected to attend the May House Council meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd, 8pm
  • Officers are granted one-year leases at Sidney-Pacific - without having to go through the housing lottery.
  • Officers of S-P are not eligible to participate in the housing lottery. If you become an officer in S-P you cannot be awarded continuing status through the housing lottery. Instead, you can earn continuing status through the Continuing Status Point System.

We encourage applications from students of a variety of backgrounds and experiences. If you have any questions, please email spec[at]mit[dot]edu.
