What is My Account?
My Account is a portion of the site that only members of
the SP community can access. Here are some of the things
residents can do in My Account:
- update their personal info, emergency contacts, forwarding address
- view information about their current room assignment
- view future room assignments and enter room lotteries
- view a list of front desk items checked out to them
- manage their guest list
- search the SP resident directory
- search the SP front desk inventory
How do I access My Account?
You will need an MIT
Personal Certificate to access the My Account portion of the site.
If you do not have your personal certificate installed, you will
get a strange error when you try to access the site (for some browsers,
the error is "s-p.mit.edu has received an incorrect or unexpected
message. Error Code: -12227").
Once the certificate is installed on your computer, click the
My Account button in the upper left corner of this page or go
here.
If you encounter any problems accessing the My Account pages,
please contact sp-web-chair (at mit.edu) for assistance.
A Note about Front Desk Checkouts
Residents are not allowed to check out front desk items until they
have agreed to the My Account Terms of Service. Once you have
successfully accessed the My Account pages (see above), you may read
and accept the Terms of Service by going here.
