4. NH White Mountains Hiking
Sunday, Jul 13, 8am-9pm, White Mountains. |
| Challenging but beautiful, rewarding 9 mile hike up Franconia Ridge in the White Mountains of NH. Passes many waterfalls and across three mountains, with a view of the valleys on either side of the ridge. Food and transportation provided, $5 for first 9 to reply. |

1. SP Karate Club
| | A new karate club for the Sidney-Pacific community is kicking off! We will be teaching Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do which is an ancient martial art with Chinese roots. Get in shape, improve your cardio, flexibility & toning and best of all learn how to effectively defend yourself. The instructor is a current MIT graduate student & SP resident with a first-degree black belt along with 18 years of experience. Classes are Wednesdays from 7-9pm in the seminar room & are absolutely free. |

2. Green tip of the week: Recycle technotrash
| | TechnoCycle bins are now available in the game room near the pool table. You can recycle rechargeable batteries (no alkaline batteries, which go in the regular trash), portable devices (cell phones, PDAs, pagers, etc.), media storage (CDs, DVDs, video tapes, etc.), and computer periphery (mice, wires, external drives, etc.). Large electronics (monitors, CPUs, etc.) should be placed on the SP loading dock for recycling. |

4. Recruiting for Photographers
| We are recruiting photographers for the Sidney Pacific Photo Committee! Join our committee and take pictures for us.
Members could borrow our amazing equipment -3 camera bodies, a Canon 580EX flash, and a 17-55mm f2.8L IS lens (best photojournalist's lens in the world). Also, you could share your amazing work with the community via the SP website and in the photo-exhibit in the SP Lobby.
